The Department of Journalism was established in 1433 A.H, based on the administrative order No. 24158/ق issued on 30/11/1433 A.H. During the academic year 1440 A.H, the University Council approved to change the name of the Department of Journalism to the Department of Journalism and Digital Media based on the administrative order No. 809098/40 ق issued on 14401/7/6 A.H. The department awards a bachelor's degree in journalism and digital media by offering an integrated academic program that keeps pace with the successive global developments in the digital media field. The program produces media professionals trained in the arts of editing, directing, and designing in digital environments, and contributes to the overall development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
