About the Department

 

 

 

 

 

The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in Education aims at developing the specialized skills and improve the educational environment which motivates the creativity and innovation by developing specialized programs to increase the competitiveness in all the levels. In the light of these directions, the program aims at achieving the following objectives:

  •  Providing students with advanced information and academic knowledge related to the technical architecture of digital media and the innovations of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity applications.
  •  Enhancing students' creative and critical capabilities in building digital multimedia projects which agree with the requirements of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 that aims at enhancing the Saudi youth abilities in the labor market competitions.
  •  Enabling the students to understand the standards and features of media production in the digital societies and social media platforms.
  •  Improve the students’ skills and capabilities in planning and executing the researches in different topics related to digital media.
  •  Training students professionally and technically in designing and planning all media operations related to the technical environment and managing digital media platforms.
  •  Enriching the students’ knowledge in the areas of laws and legislations of digital media, and their related theories and ethics.
  •  Enhancing level of interaction and cooperation between Faculty of Communication and Media at King Abdulaziz University and media institutions in the society and labor market.
  •  Provide the opportunity to the specialized academic study for the professionals in the media field which leads to connecting the university with the professional media institutions.
