The FCM has four different committees that are responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing student activities and events. They are in fact sub-committees affiliated to the General Committees of the Deanship of Student Affairs in Al-Sulaimaniyah Campus. Each of the four committees are directly supervised by a faculty member in both the Male and the Female Campuses. People serving on the committees include a faculty member, a selected secretary, and student representatives.

The main responsibility of the IAC is to help build an integrated society religiously, morally, socially, and intellectually by deepening students’ love of God Almighty and his Prophet (pbuh). Furthermore, it strives to enhance students’ leadership abilities and deepen their understanding of the Islamic creed and its legal provisions while insulating them against deviant behaviors and skewed ideologies. At same time, the committee promotes scientific research within the framework of the Islamic faith. The committee also organizes activities approved by the FCM and takes part in competitions and events initiated by the General Committee.

Recent events sponsored by both the General Committee and the Islamic Awareness Committee included the following:

  • The Most Beautiful Quran Recitation
  • Be a True Follower of the Prophet Muhammad (S)

The primary function of the Culture and Arts Committee is to promote culture and arts to spark creativity and inspire reflection among students. Through various cultural and artistic activities on campus, students will find many opportunities to think in new ways and connect to others in a dynamic environment. Part of the mission of the CAC is also to enrich students’ educational experience and help reshape their personalities and to truly inspire them to find their full potential. The Culture and Arts Committee's main objectives are:

 

  • Spreading arts and culture
  • Enhancing students’ life skills
  • Highlighting teamwork skills
  • Encouraging personal development
  • Promoting exchange of views
  • Developing a keen sense of aesthetics among students

 

The CAC also implements activity plans approved by the FCM and participates in cultural competitions and artistic events organized by the General Committee. Recent events sponsored by both the General Committee and the CAC included the following:

The Social Committee maintains a variety of programs and activities worthwhile to students both socially and academically. It strives to deliver a valuable experience to students for lifelong and professional success. The following are the Committee’s major objectives:

  • Create a student community that is morally, socially, and intellectually integrated.
  • Instill and cultivate the spirit of volunteerism among students.
  • Improve teamwork skills.
  • Solve social, psychological, and educational problems encountered by students.
  • Help students overcome negative attitudes (e.g., selfishness, dependency, carelessness).
  • Promote arts and culture among students.

 

The SC also implements activity programs approved by the FCM and participates in competitions and organized by the General Committee. Recent events organized by both the General Committee and the Social Committee included the following:

The Sports Committee’s primary focus is to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity and fitness among students. It promotes incorporating sports and healthy eating into their lifestyles. This will help keep students on the path to a more healthy and productive future. The committee also takes care of talented students and hones their skills and raises their level of physical and motor abilities. Through various activities and competitions, students can overcome psychological stress, discharge their negative emotions, and use their excessive energy levels. Additionally, the committee aspires to inculcate qualities such as sportsmanship, team spirit, and bonding and encourages students to invest their free time in worthwhile sports activities.

The Subcommittee also implements the activity plan sanctioned by the FCM and participates in sports competitions and leisure time recreation events organized by the General Committee. Recent events sponsored by both the General Committee and the Sports Committee included the following events:

  • Inter-Faculty Soccer Tournament
  • Chess Tournament
  • Improve teamwork skills.
  • Make your body live longer
  • Physical Education Training Session
